Ice Cool and Lynch team up well
He is very consistent, he always runs a good race. He will probably go to Punchestown now or Killarney. If he gets into any of the handicaps at Punchestown we will probably run him there. There are races over two and half and three miles for him and if he doesn't get into the three mile he will go for the two and a half. He likes soft ground and if Punchestown came up fast I probably wouldn't run him at all.
A trip from Boston to Wexford pays off
I'm delighted as he lost his way a bit last season. His owner Paul Leech and his wife Kim are based in Boston and they came over especially to see him run today. He had great bumper form last season and just lost his way over hurdles. I think he has got his jumping together a bit more. It wasn't the strongest of races and he'll have to improve a bit but hopefully he will go on. We will probably tip away in handicaps with him over the summer and go novice chasing with him next year. He actually got through that ground, that's as heavy as he'd ever want it. Early on I never thought he'd go on that ground. I wouldn't have even considered running him on it.
Vicangelome stays on well in Wexford
One of his owners is away in the sun, one is in Aintree and another is in New Ross in a betting office as he got stuck in traffic coming here. They'll be happy anyway!. He handles them conditions and he just idled a bit in front as he usually does, he was the same here when he won before. He was always getting there anyway. We will mix it away with him but he is on the go along time so we'll see.
Annie bounces back under Blackmore
I thought she would nearly win at Clonmel but David said she took a blow down the hill. She got upset at Fairyhouse the other day and David pulled her up.
Tyner doubles-up with Concordin
I like this place going this way around! I suppose we had a good few winners going the other way too but it's definitely a better track going this way really. It turned into a bit of a flat race really but he got through it anyway. He had a right look at the second last but he did it well enough and got through the ground. He was off for a while with a setback which was a pity. He will probably go handicapping now. It was a handy race to win.
Walsh and McManus land Wexford double
It was grand to get it. It was a bad race. He got confidence from the last day. It's hard to know what to make of that sort of race, with a couple of fences (omitted) and a 14-year-old the second favourite. He will go for something similar now. The ground is terrible but they only hacked and it was sprint home.
Theatre Wine sweet in Wexford
I won't say it was unexpected. She is a nice filly but I was a bit disappointed with her in Gowran on her first start. I think it was maybe the tacky ground that caught her there. She loved that today, she is a nice filly and she goes well. It was only her second run and she is a well-bred filly. She is out of a good mare (Mistletoeandwine) that I trained myself and she had small black type.
