English records first 1-2 in Dundalk's opener
we thought he'd need the run to be honest and we fancied Dance Alone big time. I told Stephen going out 'try for your life but he might just come up short fitness-wise'. Credit to the horse he's dug deep and he could be a right little sprinter for the winter.
Murphy has 'big plans' for his Dundalk debut winner
from the start he's been a dream. He's a gorgeous big horse and next year we'll have big plans. Declan was very taken with him. We haven't been hard on him but we have big plans for him. He won't run again this year but we'll put him in a few big races next year. He's a smashing horse. He's what we drive to Dundalk for. I'd travel for this fella!
Tyrconnell gains third career success for Lynam & Sheehy
it was nice that he did it over seven, it's a little bit of variety. He was very good and I thought he won easy today. Hopefully he'll come out of it okay and he might run again next week. I freshened him up at home and kept him ticking over. He was bucking and squealing so I though he should run well but you never know with him as he's a bit of a monkey and that's why he wears the visors. He strode out well to the line today so it was good. He probably got a bit of confidence from the last day. He was good there and I was surprised he did it so well. It's nice to get it right as I was worried I was running him over the wrong trip for a while.
Father & son team up to win with Eacharn
I think the jockey was good on him, he was strong. He's still only seven stone and hasn't put on any weight since last year but he's coming on the whole time. we left the cheekpieces off him tonight. I thought he'd win last week but he was disappointing and ran a bit flat. His owner (Lynne MacLennan) had a winner in France last Friday and also had a winner in Ffos Las in the bumper so I hoping that lad would give her a three-timer but it didn't work out. It's grand to win with him. He probably has more ability than he's showing; he was off the bridle a long way out and stayed at it. We could try him with blinkers over a shorter trip but he looked like he wants a mile there so that's probably what we'll do. We'll tip away for the winter. He does go on soft ground as well so we'll keep him busy.
Champion Jockey returns with a winner
he did it well. He broke a bit slow but they were going quick so I just took my time on him. He got a nice gap at the right time and he stuck it out well.

German-bred, French Listed winner gains first Irish success
that was great and all credit to Donagh as it didn't look like happening. The plan was to ride him third or fourth but he didn't jump, they flew and he ended up way out of it. It worked out well. That's probably his best trip and he's been running over a mile-and-a-half here. I rode him myself one night and Kevin Manning rode him the last night. He suggested claiming off him as he's just a few pounds strong. Tonight he carried 10-8 minus 5lb so it's a lot of weight. It's great for the lads, James Gough and James McAuley, as they have a good few horses with me now. They are good supporters and are down every week. We've a good few to run here over the winter. He'll probably go back jumping at some stage, in the spring or summer. He's 116 and I'd imagine we'll try to exploit that somewhere along the line.
