Winning debut for expensive Bolger filly
Kevin (Manning) was delighted with her and she's off the mark now. She is a beautifully bred filly but took a bit of time to come to hand and Kevin said she'll improve plenty for the run. We'll see where she fits in now but she is a nice, good looking filly and this was a nice opportunity for her and she handled the surface well.
Muizenberg sheds her maiden tag for Stack
I'm delighted for her owner (Mary Slack) as she's had horses with us for four or five years and I'll talk to her now about the possibility of covering her in 'southern hemisphere time' at her stud (Wilgerbofdrift Stud) in South Africa.
Third win for Phebes Wish
he is a genuine little horse, is consistent and tries hard. He has improved physically from three to four and thats the highest mark he has won off. We'll try to win another one and he might come back here next Friday. If we had 20 like him we'd be doing well!
Double for Lordan at Dundalk
she has also shown quite a bit at home but wants quick ground and we didn't get the opportunity to run her last year - I think she's a filly with a future.
Gale Force Ten proves too strong
I'm delighted with that. We thought he might be a French Guineas type of horse and looking at that I'd say he'll get a mile and he loves fast ground.
Romantic scores maiden win
the air in Newmarket didn't suit him!. he was unlucky last week and I thought he had a hell of a chance tonight. He's a good horse and his breeding would tell you that. Its been a while coming though but it's great to get it!
FIfth course win for Atlas Peak
he seems to be better here than anywhere else. He's only rated 80 over hurdles if we ever get firm ground! He'll probably get two miles over hurdles better now as he is older. He has been running very well and there's a race back here in a fortnight's time. I was worried when he jumped in front as the plan was to hold him up in fourth or fifth and come with a run. He settled in front though and Conor said he was very happy on him turning in and thought he'd win.
