Salvado makes all in opener
Hoban produces Reckless late
I thought he'd no chance turning in he was so far back but he got there at the right time. His form was solid enough his last four runs, and he didn't get the run of the race at Gowran the last day.
Second winner for 'Socks' Madden
she (Happy Anniversary) had a great year last year but had an injury in the spring and chipped a bone on a fetlock joint which needed surgery. Joseph (O'Brien) rode her here at the end of last year when she was starting to lose her form but he said she handled the surface well then so I wasn't too worried about that today. She may run here next week if there is a suitable race. Paul Sweeney, from Donegal, owns her and I'm delighted for him as he's has been very patient since buying her at Goresbridge Sales last July.
Seanie beats Jamesie for Marnane 1-2
things don't normally go to plan but that's about as good as it gets!. Seanie is in the Newmarket Horses In Training Sale next Tuesday; he's a talented horse but nothing has really gone right for him all year. Jamesie will go to Dubai if he goes up 4lbs (putting him on a rating of 100).
Caso Do Lago gains second Dundalk win
there was a small entry at the five day stage and we said we'd take our chance at the five furlongs. It probably wasn't the strongest race in the world but it was nice to get it.
Roberts records Timeless win
I've had some big wins at the dogs but that's my biggest wins with horses. I thought she'd run well but that's absolutely brilliant! She was a bit unlucky earlier this year at Tipperary and she ran well in the Rockingham from a bad draw. We'll keep her in training for another year!
O'Brien unfaltering as Waver takes him to 126
he (Waver) was suited by the surface and I got a nice run up the inner and he quickened up well when I asked him.
Oliver's Confidence faces a Monday 'Vote'!
he is American bred and the surface here suits him well. Chris gave him a great ride; they went off fast and he bided his time and came home like a train. He'll stay further and is in the Sales at Newmarket on Monday.
