I Am Sailing justifies market support
He's a lovely big horse but is still a baby and very green. He's a big chasing horse and will be a lovely horse next year. Mark gave him a lovely ride, and we'll see what JP and Frank want to do.
Monotype another for Cooper & Nolan
They didn't go that quick as I'd say they realised how bad the ground is after the first race. We stuck a tongue tie on today for no real reason other than to see would it help him a little bit. The last couple of times he was a little bit keen and didn't get home when he looked the winner in Fairyhouse, and he was clear turning in here another day and got caught. In fairness to Bryan he switched him off there today and it worked. He'll probably stick to handicap hurdles this season and he goes on the ground. Now that he settles we can up him in trip, and if there is soft ground in Punchestown we could go for that.
Cartwright takes Listed honours under Kennedy
He's tough and he's honest, and even further would suit him on better ground. He's a good fun horse and we'll mix it with the Flat with him all being well.
Great Field makes all in the Webster Cup
He jumped very well today and I don't think he made any mistakes or heart-stopping moments. He seems to have settled better, and to do that first time out on that ground was very good. He was even a lot more settled in the parade ring and going down to the start. He's getting more mature. There is not a lot for him. Punchestown (Champion Chase) would look the obvious one, whether he goes to Aintree or not I doubt it. I'd imagine he will just have the one more run.
Progressive View lands Grade B prize
I've had this race in mind for a good while and it's rare when it all works out. He's a fair horse. He's in the (Irish) National but he won't get in and it's too soon now anyway. I can't see us going to Punchestown on good ground. The race that was formerly the Whitbread could be a possible with some cut in the ground. He missed a year and that wasn't for the craic! The long term is the dream that we might have an Aintree National horse. He has a long way to go to get to that but that's what we are aiming at in time. You will really see the best of him over three and a half or hopefully four and a half if that dream comes alive. He'd stay doing that speed for another two circuits. I think he's an improving horse.
Elliott & Kennedy double-up with Sunsetstorise
It wasn't the strongest race in the world but he's done it nicely. I've had him since the May sales last year (bought for 7,500 pounds) but he's had a few problems. He wasn't that easy to train but he's won today and it's great. He'll keep going while the ground the soft. He could go back over hurdles as well and we can step him up in trip.
Rio completes double for Mullins
That's more like the horse we hoped we had. He was very disappointing his last run and we gave him a little break, and he seems to have matured for that. He's a big, staying chaser in the making. He might get another run in a bumper before he's put out to grass but he's definitely a winter horse rather than one to continue on through the summer with.
