Keane back in front by one again
He's been in great old form and we were disappointed he got beat on the beach. We thought he was a good thing there as he loves that surface, rattling off it,. It's grand to get him back winning again. He's been in right old form recently and we would have been disappointed if he had got beat. When he gets in that frame of mind he's very fast. He's just getting a little bit difficult in the stalls and sometimes he's just not getting away as well as he needs to for the sprints but he was good today. He had a nice draw and he was able to make use of it. Hopefully we'll keep him on the go for the winter. We just need to keep him sound and keep him well. Hopefully the handicapper is kind to him.
Pure Action deservedly gets there
He's been very consistent and it's grand to get his head in front,. He was only mugged the last day on the line so we gelded him after and gave him a little break. He's been running consistent all the time and he's not a bad horse. He stuck at it well. With all those places some people might question him but it's not that, it's just so competitive here and it's just good to find an opportunity. It was a good race for him to win. Jim (Browne, owner) bred him and had the whole family so it's nice for him.
Quiet doable at a low level
It was a nice surprise after the week we've had,. A horse that we thought was a certainty on Tuesday buried her jockey coming out and we had ten horses that like soft ground go to Ayr and they are stuck on the docks in Stranraer trying to get them home. I've one of them declared on Sunday. Mo Henry was a little unlucky earlier on from a bad draw. This fella wasn't showing us much at home and it might be a case that he might just be getting a little bit stronger with a bit of age. Whether that was his Derby or not I don't know but he got the job done today and I'm delighted for the syndicate who are very loyal to me. I'm the only trainer they are with in Ireland and I hope it stays that way! We bought them a nice horse the other day and that's my second winner for them. He'll go back for something like this again. He won off 44 there and if he wins another 45-65 we'll be happy. We've no big plans — we won't be going to Arc weekend with him!
Coakley off mark in training ranks
That's brilliant. It's my first winner from four runners,. We were lucky as we would have been sticking to six and seven furlongs only there was nothing for him. We might have discovered by accident that his best trip is a mile. Denis Cullen trained three winners for us with Table Forty Six and Ross rode them but this is the first one I've trained.
Cristale wins at a 'pony' for Mrs Harrington
Her run in Leopardstown was good but she was probably a little bit weak,.
Perfect start for Corby in O'Brien job
Heffernan's plan works out on De Coronado
Dundalk brace for Feane and Halpin
He's a grand old horse and he stuck at it well. I said to Gary that it was about time he won on him because he's had enough chances on him!.
