Toppy's Boy a poignant first track success for Corcoran
He (father) was a great man, he was an amateur jockey himself — a super man. He gave it to us all and he was a good man. He was known as rogue,. I've always done it with Dad, hence the name of the horse. He said 'I hope I get to see him run someday' but he died about a week later. He was on him today.
Slevin makes cross country flight to score on Link
He settled well, I was just afraid of the ground because he was running on good ground,. He ran a blinder on the Flat at Dundalk last time, giving a lot of weight away. Dillon (Maxwell) rode him in Ballinrobe and just could not get him back. He had his race run turning in but he still ran on to finish third, which was a good run. He was unfortunate in Downpatrick, he bunny hopped the last and hung badly. He was a bit sore the next morning so he must have been feeling something. We put it down to that anyway. He might win another one of them and he has a good Flat handicap mark.

Butler boots home first winner on in-form Thornleigh Frank
He did it well again. We didn't know how he'd react on the ground but he obviously did it well on it. I'm delighted for Dillon, it's his first winner and he's only had a handful of rides. He's with me a few months. He's a great lad, works hard and he deserves the win. Where we go next with the horse I don't know. He's had two quick runs so we might give him a little bit of a break and see what comes up later in the year. He'll definitely jump fences in time as well.
Slevin takes riding honours with across-the-card treble
She had a good run here last time. I thought she was a little bit sticky at a few of her jumps today. Being a mare, she maybe has her on and off days,. She actually looked more exuberant about her jumping the last day when she was second here. She took him to the front and went on then and just got beat. It was a bit tougher today. I thought that the slower ground would be a help to her, but maybe the pace was slow enough on that ground and then she just had to work a little bit. She might be better going a bit further.
Quirke at double aboard Murphy's Pakens Rock
I'm delighted. He seems to favour tracks that he likes. He's won four times at Galway, twice here and twice in Thurles. It's nice for a small yard and small owners. I drive the wheelbarrow, tractor and horsebox!. He's the horse of a lifetime for me, a horse that keeps pulling it out. He's gutsy. Hopefully he can rack up another one or two. He might get into the Blazers (at Galway), he's entered in the Galway Plate just because he won the trial and gets a complimentary entry. There is a hurdle race there as well and I wouldn't rule that out. He'll run once I'd say, whatever we get into we'll go for that. He'll have a few entries and will run in whatever he can be most competitive in. He came from behind the last day, he was in the middle of them today and he can make it as well. He's won on firm, soft and nearly everything. He's just a real durable horse. I have two horses and 50 per cent strike rate!
