Corrienthes impresses on debut
From that draw to do that, I'm really happy with it,. Probably six or seven is his trip really but he has natural speed, that's what Rory described it as. He was able to use it to get a good position and he wasn't stopping at the line. Obviously it's nice to get it for this owner and he's just a nice horse. Eddie (O'Leary) always thought he was a really nice horse and he always believed in him. He didn't sell in Doncaster (breeze-up) and I've been harassing Eddie for years to give me a horse. We managed to get this lad. He said he was one of the best breezers he had this year, he was right and all I had to do was not mess it up!. I'm delighted because my Dad is in hospital, he was in intensive care last week but he's come out of it now and I think he's going to be okay. It's a good fillip for him. I'm delighted for the connections. I don't know what we'll do with him, he may end up in another jurisdiction at some stage maybe. He handles this surface so well you wouldn't be afraid to come back for another race. He shows a lot of talent at home.
Remain comes good in first time cheekpieces
Days makes the breakthrough under McCullagh
Crafty Hugo bolts up on third start for McLoughlin
It's only his third run for us. We weren't 100 percent sure he'd enjoy the surface but he obviously did and Dylan said he enjoyed it,. He sprinted well from the furlong pole. He said he got a bit of room, gave him a squeeze and he went away with him. We're only finding our way with him, it's only the third run, and we've been running him over different trips. He seemed to stay well there at the mile and that's probably his trip.
Guiding bounces back to form
We were struggling to get in. We were entering everywhere and we got in last week over six so just ran because we couldn't get in anywhere else,. We had entered in England but she would have had to run against FootstepsAt Dawn (won at Wolverhampton on October 24th) so we decided to leave her at home. Thankfully we got in tonight. She's fairly consistent hopefully there might be another day in her. We may have to claim off her now after this.
Surrounding has too much class for Cooley rivals
She's a credit to herself and the people who bred her (the Newell's) because they've been game to keep her in training. You don't see too many six-year-old mares in training on the Flat,. She's obviously a very sound filly, a genuine filly, and she's just a pleasure to have around the place. For some reason she just took off this year and she never stopped improving. That's probably as good a performance as she's given all year. She's so adaptable to ride, you can do anything you like with her. Once we just land her here fit and well she does her job. She's been fantastic and it's exciting for the owners as they really enjoy their racing and take full benefit of it. I think we're going to go to Dubai with her. I think conditions out there will suit her. The way she finished out there tonight she's still fresh and has more mileage on the clock so we'll take our chance. The Balanchine would probably be a race that comes to mind, that's a Group 2. They are all fantastic races with huge prize-money. We'll get her out there and see how she takes it. I've always thought she'd be one that would love it out there from what we know about the place. She'd enjoy the sun on her back and she's easy to keep fit, so I think she'll fit in well to the team out there. We'd hope to have Simsir and Massif Central to travel with her. The plan at the moment is that the three would go.
'What a horse' - Geological records twelfth career success
What a horse, that's another 25 grand race!. When he's rated below 80 he's lethal and with Vanessa's 10lb claim that brought him below 80 again. What a servant, that's his 12th win. What more can I say and he's going to keep going here all winter. Vanessa said he absolutely tanked to the start and in better form than he was the last night. We've always tried to qualify him for Lingfield but it's just never happened. Maybe this year we'll have a go at it again and we'll see what happens. The horse is in great form and we'll keep tipping away. You could see there tonight with Colin (on Gordon Lord Byron) taking him on and Vanessa using her head. She's a very very good rider and she's one of the best apprentices I've seen. She keeps horses balanced, she doesn't complicate it and she has a good head on her shoulders.
