Senecia wins opener at damp Wexford
I'm delighted with that. I was concerned after all of the rain because I think he is a better horse on good ground, I was just hoping that his ability would pull him through and we didn't need to worry in the end. We like him a lot and he had a nice run in Limerick where he probably learned plenty. Danny thought that he probably learned a lot today as well. For a big horse he has a turn of foot and he is a nice horse to look forward to. I think two-and-a-half miles is enough for him at the minute but at the same time I wouldn't have any problem going back to two. I'd be happy enough with two miles to two-and-a-half for him. With a bit more experience over hurdles we will be looking at nicer races. It's still early days but he was impressive. He likes a little gap between races. I don't think he is a horse that you would be bouncing out again quick. We will look for a novice hurdle somewhere.

I'm delighted with that and he jumped really well. He just got a bit lost when we set off chasing with him last autumn. He seemed to really enjoy himself today and I'm delighted for the Maloneys. Rachael gave him a super ride. I've no plan for him, we will enjoy today and see. There is a couple of nice novices coming up. There is a race at Galway over two mile two but it might be a bit sharp for him, we will see. There are a couple of winners' chases around that he could go for.
33-1 winner as life begins at 40 for O'Connor
Her work at home had been very good. We ran her in a Listed bumper first time out because we thought a bit of her but she let us down twice. Today was like a fact finding mission and when the rain came I was disheartened altogether but Derek said she handled it well and thank God everything worked out. She is a lovely mare and is growing the whole time. They will have plenty of fun with her over hurdles and fences. Frank breeds a few so it's even more important that she got her bumper win. Frank is a very, very good supporter and has five in with us. She was actually entered in the mares maiden hurdle today but when she wasn't getting into it we came for this instead and thank God it worked out. She will tip on over hurdles now. If she stays sound and healthy she will make a lovely mare over fences in time. I have thirteen riding out at the moment.
