Henry's Girl scores on first start over flights
She was a little bit keen and she will have learned a lot from it. She will be a nice mare over hurdles. I think she had enough of the flat, she was disappointing in Ballinrobe but conditions were bad there. Paul Townend won the Galway Hurdle for me on Indian Pace (2008) when he was starting off, so we go back a long way. She will be a nice mare in novice hurdles now. She might go to Galway, we'll see.
Slevins score with Rowe
He was working well so we just thought a maiden hurdle at this time of the year wouldn't be that strong, and I thought he had each-way claims,. He won three point-to-points and he is not too bad. He probably wants three miles and he might go the novice hurdle route, we will see what the handicapper does. He'll jump a fence as well in time. The ground was as quick as he'd want it.
Xsquared completes a hat-trick
That was great, it was a good performance by the horse. I must thank everyone at home, Gavin Lawlor especially as he does everything with him. He is a pleasure at the races but a nightmare at home, he is very tricky and very hard to ride out, but Gavin does a fair job with him. He had a busy week so he will probably get a little bit of an easy time now. His owners (the Adders Syndicate) came to me this year, and I'm delighted now, you couldn't ask for any better than that. He will definitely mix it. He got nine pounds for winning on the flat the other day but I still think there is another one in him although he is now just out of the 65's. He has a high enough mark over hurdles.

Golan gets up for Townend double
The horses were sick for nearly two months solid, they are all just starting to come back now,. They are all running great and it's absolutely fantastic. Anything we are running has been in the money or there or thereabouts. Yes Sir Brian (unseated) was a bit unlucky up north. Paul gave this fellow a super ride. He loves it around here and jumps for fun. I hope the handicapper isn't too hard on him now. He'll go for another handicap, he just likes these easy tracks. He always seemed to have that bit more in hand but when it comes to the crunch he probably doesn't kill himself. Once he comes home in front I don't mind!
