Kimbay continues the good work
She went up 10Ibs for winning the last day . I thought it was a bit a harsh. Rory gave her a super ride though and it was the ride that won the race. He rides her out at home and she's a filly that has to come late. The ground is probably going to go for her now but she'll run in Dundalk over the winter. She'll run there over five or six furlongs. She doesn't handle any softer than she had there and she's not over big,.
Lee steps in to guide Seanie home
It's great to have a winner here in Listowel. Damian (Lavelle, winning owner) came all the way from Belmullet so it was worth the journey. He'll run next in Tipperary in about two weeks time. He liked Dundalk last year so he'll probably campaign a bit there as well.
Boss best from unfortunate Mind
He had a very wide draw and Shane done well to get him forward and he was three wide all the way. He stays galloping really well and Shane said he was always holding them. You'd want to be fit to push him though! . We'll see what the handicapper does with him now but he's a horse that I don't think we'll see the best of until next year and even further on.

It was magic . great. I'm delighted for Timmy (Fitzgerald, winning owner). He was 'ballsy' enough to buy him when a few other lads shied away and didn't go through with the deal. He's a great fella. He's a Kerry man but he's changed his colours to the Dubs. He's up there for the past thirty or forty years. He's up there beside me in north County Dublin even though I'm an out and out Meath man myself. I don't know where we'll go now. He's a decent horse. He was very unlucky in Galway. He just needed time. He's a big old fashioned type. He had the class to do that so I'm sure there's probably another race or two like that in him. We'll get him home and take it from there.

I feel sorry for Nina but it's nice that it worked out. It's a legal term, Latin, and it means the facts speak for themselves (Res Ipsa Loquitur). As you can tell then she was always a good work horse. In fairness I kind of left the instructions to Mikey as I wasn't sure where the pace was going to come from. I said to him how you ride her is how fast they are going to go. He was a long way back but he came in and he just said they were flying and it was the only way to ride the race. She cruised through and he was brilliant. Full marks to Mikey. I would also like to say well done to Barry Geraghty. He rode her the last day and he just told me that she's too keen with the cheek-pieces and to take them off her. I left them off her today and it worked. She's been a model of consistency and she's in again at Ballinrobe on Tuesday which we might consider if she's okay.
