Catherine lands odds in Dundalk opener
Typhoon storms home to cause shock
He did a great bit of work the week before last with Copper Dock and at the time I didn't know if Copper Dock had worked badly or he had went well,. So it wasn't a total surprise. He's such a big baby I didn't know if he would get it together over five furlongs even though he's bred to be a sprinter.
Velocity battles to game success
She deserves that. She's a model of consistency and is as tough as anything,. She loves racing and if she saw the lorry in the yard she would nearly jump in and drive it herself!. She'll keep at it. She'll have the pot licked tonight and be bouncing again tomorrow. There is a handicap for her at the Curragh next week but it's older age and that's harder to do. Kevin gave her a brilliant ride from the front. She won't let anything past if it's at all possible.
Tsar proves too strong for rivals
He could possibly go for a six furlong handicap at the Curragh on Sunday week,. I was just a bit disappointed with the prize money there though when you consider it's Guineas day.
Charminamix comes good
He has loads of ability and has run some great races. It was a fantastic ride by Johnny,. He ran terrible last time at Gowran when I thought I had him fresh and well. I said to Johnny to do what he wanted today. I'll try and mix it with him. He schooled over fences during the week and I think it sweetened him up.
Master just gets home in thriller
He had a chance on his Wexford run last week when he finished on the heels of them,. I told Shane to pull him out wide as he finished really well at Leopardstown one day when he was wide. He battled well and I'm delighted for the lads (Four & More Syndicate). It's their third horse with me and they are a great bunch. They've been wonderful supporters the last few years and it's their first winner so they'll enjoy that. He could run again at Tipperary next Thursday.
Ascot on cards for Bashir
He's got a lot of ability but he does absolutely nothing in front,. The last time after he won I said I'd step him up in class and it's the same thing now. He could go for the Jersey Stakes or the Britannia Handicap (at Royal Ascot). He has a fair bit of class and I think the quicker they go the better as he can pick up off a strong gallop. He's a proper fast ground. He loves it and doesn't bend his knee.
