O'Sullivan trains 1st 2yo winner with 33/1 chance Dolce Sicily
Katie (Walsh, wife) bought her as a yearling for ten grand in Newmarket. Epaulette isn’t that sexy but the mare had two winners from two runners,. She had two runs over five, ran well the first day in Naas and not a bad run then in the Curragh. She’s bred to get six or seven, she knew her job and was able to dictate from the front. It’s my first two-year-old winner. We’ve had a few seconds and I’m delighted to have a juvenile winner. A bunch of lads from Dublin that work in banking own her but unfortunately they weren’t able to get here. I’d say they will have a good night tonight!
Encouraging debut followed by impressive win from Missy
Coakley completes 58/1 double at Fairyhouse
She’s been trying hard for a good while and hasn’t got her head in front. Perhaps she liked the little comfort in the ground as she’s been at Dundalk several times. She got out in front there and seemed to enjoy it. She quickened up and ran to the line well so we’re delighted with her. It’s great to win a race for Mr (Tom) Monaghan. It’s the first foal out of the mare and he’s got a nice Kodiac colt foal going to the sales later this year. We tried a mile as an experiment the last day but it didn’t work.
Black Magic Woman continues to progress for Davison
She’s had a few runs this year but is a proper race mare. She’s thriving on it and since I took the headgear off she’s running that bit more relaxed and finishing off well. I have my eye on a fillies handicap at the Curragh on Derby weekend, and hopefully the handicapper isn’t too hard on her. I’d hope she’ll shape up into a black type filly and she has an entry in the Brownstown back here next month. I hope she keeps progressing.
Ducky Mallon pleases Kinsella with an 8th success

Lightly-weighted Swelltime shows his staying power at Fairyhouse
We fancied him a little, although not as much as it might seem (40/1 this morning and returned at 9s). He’s very one paced but he stays going well, and I’d say he’ll jump a hurdle in time. We decided to make use of his strength which was going to be staying and he kept on well.
