Longford takes opener in good style
Andrew said he settled better today than the last day, and he was going so well that he let him off going down the hill. He should make a nice jumper as he was also placed in a point-to-point.
Quick double for Lynch at Clonmel
She is very lazy and idle. Andrew gave her a super ride and he just told me he dropped his whip and I was wondering why he wasn't using it, but it obviously suited her. She ran very well in a bumper last year and I thought she was going to be a right mare but she had disappointed since. She seems to be coming to herself now.
Rebel makes all at Clonmel
I'm delighted with him. He ran well the last day, and the ease in the ground probably helped today. The others may have wanted it a bit better. I fancied him to be in the money and he was a great price. I'll keep him on the go now for the summer. He's a little bit wired!
Usa all the way!
I thought he was a horse who wanted good ground but he's after winning twice on soft now. He came back from Ballinrobe the last day with ringworm and I just thought he ran a bit flat there.
The penny finally drops with Wells China
I haven't got him long. He is a bit of a character, as you saw at Down Royal, when he refused to race. We tried everything with him to get the penny to drop, we even done a bit of cross-country. He is owned by Damien Carroll from Dublin and he is a gentleman. He will go for another handicap next.
Esporao blitzes rivals on chase debut
It was the plan to be in front but not that far in front!. Gordon said sit second if something goes faster than you. His horses are so well schooled, he was foot perfect and making ground at his fences. He was very quick over them.
Treble for Lynch as Breffni follows up
I couldn't believe she handled the softish ground so well (won on good to firm at Tramore). She won easier today than the last day and we might try find something in Galway for her now.
B L shows plenty of Swagger
That's great for Peter (Magnier, part owner). He's a nice horse and he'll make a really nice chaser. We'll tip around over hurdles with him now, and go chasing with him next season. He's a lovely genuine horse.
