Celestial Prospect stamps his Galway ticket
I was a little concerned the ground was after getting a bit too slow. You couldn't get it quick enough for him. It was nice to win another one with him. We'll look for a flat handicap at Galway or a handicap hurdle on the Saturday there, but he is ground dependant. He's a real summer horse.
Austin's mare on the right Route
we sorted out her problems with her wind and she has improved even more between her last two runs. The ground was possibly a little on the slow side today though and she'll be kept on the go for the summer. In time she'll have no problem jumping a fence.
Townend has a willing Partner
he got free on Paul (Townend) at Punchestown the last day and ended up making the running which wasn't the plan. He'll go to Galway now for a handicap now and I don't think he'll get anything (penalty) for winning that. His future is over fences and he'd want further than that (two miles) but we had to take our chance and it was his class that won it for him.
Progressive Portrade wins again
He was very fresh and well and I thought he had a great chance coming here. We'll see what the handicapper does now. I've only two in training.
Isaac Bell a first track winner for Ryan
That's my first winner on the track though I had a point-to-point winner last March. This horse was my first runner on St Stephen's Day. He's owned by my mother Noreen. It was some day and a good way to win it. He knows how to jump and will go for a maiden hurdle, but first he'll have a break as he's been on the go since December.
