At the start nobody wanted to make the running so the plan wasn't to make the running but we were gifted an early lead. She had a very good run here last October and while she wasn't herself in Fairyhouse, we gave her a break since and she has strengthened up. She probably isn't a heavy ground filly but that ground suited her well. I'd imagine she'll improve and is versatile distance-wise and could go hurdling now . It is great for David Fenton who bred her and pre-trains horses for the syndicate and is an uncle of James Fenton who has been involved in over 50 winners, through syndicates, in the yard. James is a huge addition, he runs a tight ship with syndicates and keeps getting me winners! W P Mullins, trainer

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident shortly after the start involving Huntsgrove, ridden by Mr H.C. Swan and Mount Shenshan, ridden by Mr S. Cavanagh where it appeared Huntsgrove ducked for the paddock entrance and impeeded Mount Shenshan. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J. Sexton, rider of Mountain Fame, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence Mr. J. Sexton accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found Mr. J. Sexton was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b) (unnecessary hitting of a horse when your chance of winning or being placed is gone) and having taken his previous record into account the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr. J. Sexton for two Racedays

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms Aveena O'Keeffe, regarding the failure of Mr N.J. O'Mara, rider of Champagne Dawn, placed fifth to weigh in after this race due to Mr. N.J. O'Mara being attended to by the medics following a fall after the horse had crossed the line. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards using their powers under Rule 230(i) allowed the Judge's result to stand and took no further action
