The raceday privilege request in relation to Millebosc (FR), trained by William Haggas, to go early to post was not submitted.

Haggas was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.

Inside the final furlong, the winner, Balance Play (IRE), shifted quickly left-handed away from the whip, before being quickly corrected, making brief contact with Certain Lad (GB), placed fifth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Balance Play (IRE).

The winner, Balance Play (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at York on 25 August 2023, where the gelding finished tenth of fourteen, beaten by 8 lengths.

Following the race, Kaiya Fraser reported that Mustazeed (IRE), placed fourth, was slowly away; Richard Hannon reported that Le Mans (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the going on this occasion, officially described as Heavy, Soft in places, and would benefit from a quicker surface; The Veterinary Officer reported that Millebosc (FR), placed sixth, lost a right-fore shoe.
