The Raceday Stewards interviewed S.P. Bird, rider of Kartayaz, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount has a tendency to stop and he ended up breaching the Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found him in breach of Reg.10.3.(g) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record into account, they suspended him for four race days

Having taken his record into account, the Raceday Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
