Review naas 29th Oct Hidden Cyclone shrugged off a lengthy absence and an inadequate trip to get his season off to the best possible start in the Murray Spelman Insurance Supporting Kildare GAA Poplar Square Chase at Naas.The 2-1 second favourite was the last one left to chase the front-running favourite Foildubh in the home straight, and Shark Hanlon's charge was ahead over the last.Andrew McNamara had to galvanise him, though, as he tired in the closing stages, but he still had enough in the tank to beat Foildubh by a length and a half.Jessica Harrington enjoyed a treble on the day, commencing with Jezki (7-4) getting the better of Ally Cascade in the dying strides of the O'Callaghan Hotels Supporting GAA Maiden Hurdle.Favourite Ally Cascade looked to be in command when jumping the last in the lead, but Jezki responded magnificently to Barry Geraghty's urgings to prevail by three-quarters of a length.Harrington made it a double on the day when Maller Tree made all to land the DSM Demolition Supporting Kildare GAA Hurdle.The 9-2 chance had Folsom Blue for company for much of the race, but after seeing off that challenger under Robbie Power, he ran on well to score by six and a half lengths from Texas Jack.Jenari gave Harrington a treble and Power a double when securing the Weatherbys Ireland GSB Beginners Chase, as the 9-2 chance collared Dylan Ross close home before going on to score by a length and a quarter.Back In A Tic ran out a gutsy winner of the valuable Copper Face Jacks Supporting Kildare GAA Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle.Colin Kidd's 10-1 chance took up the running approaching the last and responded well to Sean McDermott's drive to beat Dancing Tornado by two lengths.9-2 chance Worldor took the Joe Mallon Motors Supporting Kildare GAA Handicap Hurdle for trainer Martin Brassil and jockey Niall Madden.
