Promising jockey Paul Townend took the riding honours at Limerick with a unique 43-1 double.
The rider, who is attached to Willie Mullins' yard, partnered Ghost Mist (9-2 favourite) to win the Adare Handicap on the level before steering Charlie Swan's Emmpat (7-1) to victory in the second division of the Twilight Racing Beginners' Chase.
David Myerscough trains Ghost Mist, who went one better than when an unlucky second at Down Royal last time.
"The horse didn't get the run of the race in Down Royal the last day," said Myserscough.
"He is inclined to idle in front. The trip is not an issue, he stays and he has plenty of gears.
"Galway is the plan now and he'll make a lovely hurdler for someone, someday."
Emmpat was good enough to win a Scottish Champion Hurdle over timber and the fast-ground lover was making a winning chasing debut at the age of 11.
"Paul is a classy rider. David (Casey) is away on holidays at the moment and he's a nice replacement to have," said Swan.
"He is not an easy horse to ride. He is inclined to idle in front. We will go for a winners-of-one novice over two miles in Galway next."
Tony Mullins' Decoy Daddy (7-2) made every yard to win the Greenmount Annual Members Novice Chase by one and three-quarter lengths.
A decent hurdler at his best, Robbie Power was positive on him and held off the challenge of Toby Jug
Aidan O'Brien's Peter Tchaikovsky (9-2) returned to form after a disappointing end to last season.
As Johnny Murtagh completes his suspension, Sean Levey did the steering on the Dansili colt.
"It's a long time since his last run and he was a little bit backward today but he did it well enough," he said.
