< Four Chimneys put up a fantastic weight-carrying performance when winning the Patrickswell Community Council Handicap Hurdle at Limerick.

Willie Austin's 100-30 favourite was forced to carry 12st 2lb following success here on Saturday, but it was not enough to stop him following up with a seven-length success.

Austin said: "When you have them right you're halfway there. He is obviously fit and well and the win on St Stephen's Day left him 100% right."< Take It Easee (15-8 favourite) was a seven-length winner in division one of the Munster Maiden Hurdle.

George Dobbs, husband of the winning trainer, Prunella, said: "That ground really suited her and the win hasn't come as a total surprise.

"The owner, David Fitzgerald, is a Limerick man so that adds extra spice to the mix."

Division two went the way of even-money market-leader Ach Aye Surely who stayed on dourly in the testing conditions under Alan Crowe to open her account at the ninth attempt.

James Nolan, brother of the winning trainer, Paul, said: "She was unlucky a few times. She's done the job well, got her jumping together and found plenty."

Nolan and Crowe were narrowly denied a double in the Online Booking Mares Maiden Hurdle as Golden Sunbird finished just a head behind the Willie Mullins-trained winner Killultagh Queen (2-1).
