The pick of Mullins' quartet in the betting and sent off the 13-8 favourite, Saglawy was sent straight to the front by Paul Townend.
Elliott's Mitchouka loomed as the main danger on the home turn, but Saglawy was game in front and kept on to win by two and a half lengths.
Mullins made it a double when Low Sun swooped late to land the RYBO Handicap Hurdle.
