< Gordon Lord Byron limbered up for the Golden Shaheen at Meydan on Dubai World Cup night at the end of the month with an easy victory under the lights at Dundalk.
Tom Hogan's five-year-old, winner of the Group One Prix de la Foret at Longchamp last October, had only three inferior opponents to beat in the BWG Foodservice Race and that was reduced to two when Burn The Boats refused to go near the stalls.

Lordan initiated a double on the Eddie Lynam-trained Super Sling who was sent off the 5-4 favourite for the Family Value Race on the back of two third-placed runs over course and distance.< My Rules travelled sweetly but didn't find much and Lordan delivered a smooth challenge inside the two-furlong marker on Super Sling, who wasn't troubled to beat the front-running Fairy Foxglove by a length and a half.
David Marnane's eight-year-old He's Got Rhythm put in a good show to finish second at the track last week and delivered on that promise with a fine victory in the Your Local Value Centre Handicap.
