Yuften ran out an easy winner of the Dundalk Stadium Race, as the odds-on favourite Sir Isaac Newton disappointed.
Previously trained in the UK by William Haggas, the five-year-old son of Invincible Spirit ran a fine race on his debut for Johnny Murtagh last month, going down by a head to Russian Soul.
Stepped up to seven furlongs today he was sent off the 11/4 second favourite, with all the money coming for Sir Isaac Newton who went off the 2/5 market leader (10/11 last night and from 8/15 on-course).
Settled in third by Connor King, the winner cruised to through to lead on the outer with a furlong and a half to race.
He soon extended his advantage and came home with four and three parts of a length to spare.
Sir Isaac Newton (Seamie Heffernan aboard for Aidan O'Brien) just got the better of Geological for second.
Johnny Murtagh said afterwards: "He was in such good form I thought about taking the chance and going to Tipperary. I was delighted it was moved to here as I think he's a fast ground horse.
"We think he's good and his form is good. He's starting to settle into the place now and hopefully we can get him back to somewhere near his best.
"I'm not sure of his trip and we have to decide whether to come back or go up in trip. We have to find out a bit more about him and we're learning all the time.
"It's nice to have that standard of horse in the yard and it keeps you up there on the Saturdays.
"He's in the Greenlands and the Amethyst. Those are the two and we have to decide which way to go."
