The Simon Munir and Isaac Souede owned Yeshil, entered many a tracker after a most encouraging debut second placing at the Punchestown Festival, and trainer Stuart Crawford not surprisingly views the youngster as one to look forward to.

Well-known owner/trainer/breeder Con O'Keeffe bred Yeshil, and he's by the Waterford-based stallion master's Mansonnien horse, Diamond Boy.

Said Crawford of the silver medalist in the Goffs Defender Bumper, "It was a very, very good run. He's a very straightforward horse, a real galloper.

"He really stuck it out to the line and, if the penny had dropped a wee bit sooner, he might have got closer sooner. He was the horse that was finishing best of all.

"He'll be for his summer holidays now and he might change stables after that, I'm not sure."
