Wild provides Harty with 38/1 double After winning the first with Moon Over Germany, Eddie Harty doubled-up in the fifth as his Queen's Wild just got up to deny Perfect Woman in the Grade 3 Kerry Group EBF Mares Novice Chase. Second to Perfect Woman on her debut over fences at Sligo in September, the daughter of Westerner fell on her next start at Clonmel, before finishing fourth to Killer Miller at Naas last month. Available at 20/1 in a place this morning she went off at 11's with Adrian Heskin in the saddle. Having raced mainly in third she improved to dispute as they approached the straight and she was headed by Miss Dinamic after the second last. She made a mistake at the last and briefly dropped to third before rallied gamely in the closing stages, getting up to prevail by a short head. Perfect Woman (9/2), who took over from Miss Dinamic on the run-in, had to settle for second under Mark Walsh for Mick Winters, while Emcon (8's to 6's on-course) kept on well to take third, a further three parts of a length back under Kevin Sexton for Willie Austin. Eddie Harty said afterwards: "Realistically we were running to try and get a place. She jumped fantastic today. "I thought she was overpriced as it was a hell of a beginners chase in Naas that she was fourth in and I thought she would have won in Clonmel when she fell. "She ran a good race behind Killer Miller and Bonny Kate in Naas and I thought she was entitled to come here at least for place money. "The only mistake she made was at the last and it was lucky she had the revs up and could find a leg. I thought then we might not get the black-type but we ended up getting the big one! "Adrian said to up her in trip and keep to that grade. Two-and-a-half is her trip and she goes in that ground. "I rode for Bobby (Bobby Guiry, winning owner) nearly 40 years ago and he bred some really good horses in the past that he used to send to my father to get some form before selling." STEWARDS REPORTS * The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Solita, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. * B.J. Cooper, rider of Solita trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount tried to refuse the first fence and jumped poorly thereafter. Additional reporting by Gary Carson
