Whipless back into winning ways The four runner finale, the Horseware Ireland On Facebook Race at Dundalk may have been expected to chiefly concern Flavia Tatiana and Solo Performer but they were upstaged by the other pair as Whipless beat Hairstyle by a length and a quarter with Ronan Whelan up. The victorious son of Whipper, may have been keen in third place but after going second half a mile out, he found what was required from a furlong and a half out, leading in the final 150 yards before keeping on well to score. Ger Flynn, representing winning trainer Jim Bolger, said: "Ronan gave him a great ride as he was a bit free – they went no pace. "It's good to get him back into winning ways again and we'll look for something similar in a few weeks time." (AM & EM)
