The Paul Nolan trained Western Model made a winning reappearance when easily taking the concluding See You In June Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown.

Making his first start since last December, the five-year-old was always prominent under Sean O'Keeffe, sitting on the heels of the leaders.

Coming through to head Jekiki after the second last, the gelding moved comfortably to assert control, before quickening up from the back of the final flight to run out a seven length winner.

Winning jockey O'Keeffe said:- “The nice ground made a big difference. He'd been running on heavy ground all winter. He jumped super and travelled great on that ground today.

“That trip suits him, he's a typical Westerner as he jumps and gallops. Three miles on that ground brought out the best of him.

“He did it nicely so hopefully he can go on again.”
