Wayne Lordan looks set to remain on the sidelines until the autumn following this fall from San Antonio in the Irish Derby earlier this month.

The Dee Stakes winner suffered a fatal leg break half-a-mile from home in the Curragh feature, throwing the Cork born rider to the ground.

“Wayne is at home and in good form but is probably looking at an autumn return," revealed his agent Ryan McElligott.

“He was kicked by a number of horses and has a bad wound on his arm in an awkward area that has required a cast.

“He will see a specialist next week and the picture should be clearer then.”

Lordan had ridden 16 winners in Ireland and partnered Age Of Kings to Royal Ascot success prior to his unfortunate injury.
