Drummullagh Rocky brought up a double for jockey Eoin Walsh when taking Down Royal's two and a half mile handicap chase at 16/1.

The 10-year-old gelding was coming off a long absence since January and made all to come home by three lengths.

He beat 20/1 chance Pegase Amour into second. An Droichead Gorm was backed down to 11/4 favourite but finished third.

Local handler Sean McParlan said: "Our horses haven't been right this good wee while. We knew he had the ability to do that.

"The plan was to jump off and he got his own way out in front. Hopefully he will win again.

"We knew he was in good old form but, when horses are not performing for you, you are hoping they will do it.

"He (Walsh) gave him a great ride."
