Walking On Glass awarded Bellewstown finale after enquiry Walking On Glass was promoted to first place following a subsequent stewards enquiry after losing out narrowly in the concluding Ploughman Bar & Grill (Q.R.) Handicap at Bellewstown. Having lost out by just a neck after suffering interference inside the final furlong, the race day stewards deemed that incident to be enough to have cost the Padraig Roche trained nine-year-old the race. Prominent throughout under Adam Lord, the Gordon Elliott trained Royal Eagle disputed with Baltic Bird and War Correspondent just after halfway. Pushed along to lead entering the straight, the 4/1 chance went a couple of lengths clear over 2f out, as Aine O'Connor went second on Walking On Glass. The latter went for a run up the inner inside the final furlong but as Royal Eagle drifted left that gap was closed off. O'Connor had to switch her mount out before staging a late rally which just failed by a neck. The stewards subsequently called an enquiry which resulted in the placings being reversed.
