Willie Mullins looks to have another useful recruit on his hands after Vicky De L’Oasis made a successful Irish debut in the Anglo Printers Maiden Hurdle.
The French import travelled ominously well for Ruby Walsh to head chief market rival Knightsone (7/2-5/2) before the final flight, and quickly settled the issue on the run-in.
The 11/8 favourite, who won three times on the level and was making her hurdle debut here, quickened clear in a matter of strides to score by an effortless nine lengths. Spa Hill could only keep on at one pace a further two and a half lengths back in third.
Mullins said, “She came with a nice reputation from France last November but disappointed when we brought her home. We decided to put her away and she’s been far better since.
“She looks alright now on her homework, and will stay on the novice hurdle route. Her form is on soft ground in France but she has been showing us plenty on faster ground at home.”
