Undertheboardwalk got favourite backers back on track after the disappointment of Why But Why in the first, as he ran out a comfortable winner of Division One of the Dysart Maiden Hurdle.
Sent off the 4/5 jolly for his trainer Tony Martin with Barry Geraghty aboard, the son of Dr Massini, was niggled along from the fifth flight, after making a slight mistake at thw previous hurdle.
However he began to travel well again and improved into second at the penultimate flight with the leader Mundher (20/1) jumping left at that hurdle.
The pair jumped the last together before the favourite pulled out more under pressure on the run-in, going away to score by five and a half lengths at the finish.
The Valerie Keatley trained Elansia ran a big race to finish a further three lengths back in third at 50/1.
The was the winner's fifth career start, having put in his best effort last time out at Bellewstown staying on well under Ruby Walsh to finish second to London Bridge, when sent off the 9/4 favourite.
Winning trainer Tony Martin said afterwards: "He was a bit unlucky on his last start at Bellewstown and that was his due rewards. I was hopeful beforehand and he did it well.
