Dermot Weld completed a treble at Galway today moving the Rosewell House trainer onto the nine winner mark for the week when Unaccompanied landed the concluding Tote Return All Profits To Racing Maiden.
Unaccompanied’s win moved her rider Pat Smullen onto the four winner mark for the week and is currently the leading jockey at the Festival.
Afterwards Weld stated “Pat gave Unaccompanied a very good ride and she did get a bit unbalanced two furlongs out but battled well. I was worried that the ground might be a bit too quick for her as she would prefer a good cut in the ground.”
