The Pat Flynn trained Twistsandturns continues to progress up the handicap ladder and scored a third win in his last four starts when landing the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Apprentice Handicap at Dundalk this evening, under Leigh Roche.

The son of Acclamation has now won from marks of 47, 50 and 59 and this evening held on for a neck win over Rockview Emperor

Roche later stated “thank god the line came when it did as I could hear them coming loud and fast from behind.

“They went hard in front; I had the ones in front covered and it was the ones in behind I was more worried about.”

“I'm delighted he's won again for the owners (Bridie and Brendan Cooney, also winning breeders) and for Pat (Flynn); that'll help get the turkey on the table for Christmas!”
