The Gordon Elliott trained Tronador remains very much in contention for the Cesarewitch at the end of the season, despite a below par run at the Ebor meeting at York late last month.
Prior to managing just 9th of the 14 runners at that meeting, the seven-year-old had shown unusually consistent form for a horse of his profile.
A somewhat inconsistent performer throughout his career, Tronador had won at Limerick in June, before running huge races to reach the frame at both Bellewstown and Goodwood on his subsequent two runs.
Given the manner in which he saw out the marathon trip at Goodwood last month, connections have no stamina worries ahead of his next intended target.
Assistant trainer Lisa O'Neill said: "It is an option that he is kept in the Cesarewitch. We'll see down the line what the plan is with him.
"He is one of those horses that tends to spring a surprise and, if he gets into it, he could run a really big race off a light weight.
"He will stay all day."
