Trainer McLoughlin completes double Dermot McLoughlin completed a double at Leopardstown today as last month's Ten Up Novice Chase winning trainer landed the Leopardstown Family Day Beginners Chase. Captain Cj credited McLoughlin with a second Grade 2 training success in Navan's Ten Up Chase last month and having today sent out Lee Valley Legacy, under Paddy O'Hanlon, to win a handicap hurdle, doubled his score with Turbojet. Ridden by Adam Shortt, the son of Authorized stretched clear of his rivals in the home straight when scoring an 11 lengths win over Half The Odds. Afterwards McLoughlin stated “he galloped to the line and his jumping was very good today. We did a lot of work on his jumping. “Adam reckoned he was in front too soon, with the horse falling (Discordantly, after halfway). He liked him, he said they went a good gallop, increased it the whole way and he thought it was a nice race to ride in. “He won his maiden hurdle in Listowel but in handicap company he was struggling a bit. He's a big lump of a horse and obviously this is the next step over fences. He jumped well over these fences and they take a bit of jumping. “We'll look for something at Easter time maybe at Fairyhouse. The man that owns him won't be in any hurry with him.” Quotes from Gary Carson
