Henry de Bromhead’s fine form continued when he sent out another Flat winner, in Train Time in the opening mile-and-a-half maiden at Dundalk tonight.

Wayne Lordan cut out the running on the 7/1 shot and she responded gamely when strongly pressed in the straight. Wrap Star got to the front a furlong out but Train Time regained the advantage in the closing stages for a neck success.

The daughter of Rail Link had been runner up at the course in November before a couple of mid-division finishes last month.

“She’s a grand filly and is mad genuine,” said Lordan.

“She had previous runs here to suggest she was good enough to win. The last day I rode her I didn’t feel like I went quick enough on her. Today I let her stride away.

“She’s genuine and she stays. She battled back really well. She lacks a gear but keeps going really well.”
