Townend completes good day for the clan Paul Townend was deservedly lauded by plenty for his riding of Sweet My Lord in the Tramore Racecourse Members Steeplechase, bringing up a double at the seaside venue for the Cork man, earlier on the mark aboard All The Way Home. The former champion jockey, a first-cousin of Davy Condon (successful on this card on Clara Mc Cloud) brought through Sweet My Lord to head Crash at the second last. The favourite then fended off Character Actor and Tillahow from the back of the last, by half a length and three parts of a length. The aforementioned Crash made a mistake at the last and finished a further length and a quarter back in fourth. Willie Mullins trains Sweet My Lord and he said: "I'm not sure what we'll do with him now – he's been on the go a long while. 'He's been to Fairyhouse, Cheltenham and Leopardstown. "Come to think of it now he might be a Galway Plate horse. We'll have to talk to the owners. "I'm happy with all my Punchestown runners and Hurricane Fly worked particularly well this morning."
