Townend who made all on the Accordian gelding was clear from before the last and kept on strongly for a four and a half length win.
Winning trainer Mullins said afterwards: "We were happy with that. I suppose he just out-stayed them there."
"We'll have a look at the Thyestes Chase in Gowran Park now, i'll see if we can find something else but i'd say we'll go for the Thyestes."
