Tomjackwilliam brings up plenty of bets Tomjackwilliam landed a gamble in the two mile five furlong D Pack Packaging Handicap Hurdle at Limerick. He was backed from 11/1 - 5/2 this morning and the money was well founded. Gary Noonan drove the 3/1 favourite home by a length and a quarter from Seangoell (28/1) who attempted to reel him in on the run-in. Aide De Camp (6/1) and Huit Reflets (18/1) were back in third and fourth respectively for their each-way backers. Trainer Eoin McCarthy said: "We were confident, but he is a local horse so there was a lot of chat in the local village in the build-up, so thank God it came off! "He stays more than quickens, so we made more use of him today and it told on that ground. He will be a lovely horse and is the second winner we've had this week by Dylan Thomas and I knew he'd like the ground. Hopefully he will be lucky for the owners. He added: "We have good owners and are starting to get a better quality of horse now. We are up around the 50 horse marker now but I don't want it to become a factory operation - I want to up the quality." McCarthy and Noonan teamed up with Dylan Thomas mare Missiee to win a mares' handicap hurdle at Limerick on St Stephen's Day. Additional reporting by Tom Weekes
