Tom makes it 3rd time lucky for Johnny On start number three for Johnny Feane Tom Dooley justified 9/4 favouritism (backed in from 7/2) under Gary Carroll in the concluding Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Handicap. The Dylan Thomas gelding, three times a winner when with Mick Mulvany, came with a good run down the inner in the final quarter mile. He headed the front-running Sofi's Spirit about a furlong out before going on for a length and a quarter win. Feane remarked: "He's a fun horse and is very versatile. He likes to follow a strong pace and can go over six furlongs, seven or a mile. "Wolverhampton doesn't suit him. The longer straight here is better for him." (AM & EM)
