Tom Mullins' favourite, Tara Dylan may have performed below expectations when sixth half-an-hour earlier, but the Doninga-handler wasn't long about joining his brother, Tony, as a winning trainer on the evening at Gowran. Double Fast a filly he also owns, landed the first split of the Kilkenny Apprentice Handicap.
Conor McGovern did the steering on the Curragh second placer from August 23rd, and she came home well to lead inside the last, and get the better of Tubeanie by a length.
"She probably ran into one at the Curragh (Aye Aye Skipper). She had a nice first run as a two-year-old but then took umbrage," reflected Mullins.
"We tried her in blinkers and she also had trouble in the stalls. She's been much better on her last couple of runs (in the stalls).
"She's done real well in the last week. She's picked up and eaten up well.
"More than likely she'll go to Listowel."
