Tom Dooley brings up his hat-trick The Race Displays Handicap at Fairyhouse had drama prior to its running. Get Some got loose and clashed with Pillar in the parade ring. Thankfully the visored Dandy Man gelding was well caught by racecourse manager Peter Roe. The six furlong contest eventually went the way of Tom Dooley who was completing a hat-trick at odds of 2/1 favourite. A credit to rookie trainer Richard O'Brien, Sean Davis was again in the plate on last Thursday's Leopardstown scorer. He beat A Likely Story by three parts of a length. "It was a bit of a question mark coming back so soon but obviously he's answered that question and it's great," said O'Brien. "The six is probably a little bit on the sharp side for him but he seemed to be well on top at the end. "Sean gave him an absolutely gorgeous ride. He had planned to be a little bit handier but he just took the view if he was just completely travelling to take his time and it worked out really well. "He's a wonderful horse to do that for us and we'll have a look at something in Galway. The temptation is to go easy on him now but maybe that would be the unwise thing to do." (GC & EM)
