Cannon Hill made it three from three for Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen when claiming the three-year-old maiden at Gowran Park.
The gelding had to work his way into contention from a wide draw but stormed home inside the final furlong.
He grabbed long-time leader Vastitas in the closing stages to record a two-length victory.
The winner had been runner-up on his previous three starts, including playing second fiddle to Casamento and Treasure Beach last season.
"He deserved his win. He just ran up against smart horses on his last three runs. He's very consistent," said Weld.
"He got another lovely ride from Pat Smullen. The 16 draw wasn't easy but he took his time and the horse battled well.
"I thought he would win today. He just happened to meet better horses on his last few runs."
