The Yellow Bus overcame an absence of 280 days to prevail in the seven furlong fillies' maiden at Down Royal.
David Wachman 's charge hadn't been out of the first three in her four starts as a juvenile and in fact took second to subsequent Newmarket 1,000 Guineas and Epsom Oaks winner Minding on debut at Leopardstown last June, beaten five and a half lengths.
In this contest she tracked the leaders before making headway to challenge with 150 yards to race. She kept on well for Wayne Lordan and grabbed the initiative in the closing stages to see it out by half a length.
She was returned the 15/8 favourite from Sufoof (11/4) who was headed close home.
Wayne Lordan said: "She was very consistent last year. She was always a little bit weak. She has strengthened up well over the winter.
"First run back so it was good. She quickened up well and didn't do a whole pile when she got there so maybe a set of cheekpieces might help her but she's okay."
