On start number ten The Lords Walk shed his maiden tag in the EliteForm Manufacturing Handicap at Dundalk.
Ronan Whelan delivered the son of Dick Turpin down the outer from over a furlong out.
Jarlath Fahey 's representative eventually led in the final hundred yards for a length and three parts win over favourite, Boxer Dunford
"We always thought he'd be capable of winning something like that and he tends to run well fresh. Off his mark we thought he could go and do something like that so it's job done," said Whelan.
"He's a fun horse and he'll improve for another furlong. Ideally he wants a mile. My dad Tom is leading him up and owns a half share of him with Jarlath so he's delighted. We've had him since he was a yearling."
L.F. Roche, rider of Lydia's Joy trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount moved badly.
