Tesseract completes 1st & last O'Brien double Tesseract maintained Sarah O'Brien's impressive recent strike rate, and in the process completed a double on the card for her father Aidan, when making all in the McLoughlin Oil Flat Race at Bellewstown. Sarah has now won on six of her last eight rides, and was seen to good effect here dictating matters from the front. The evens favourite, successful at Tipperary last month, stayed on well inside the final furlong to shake off the challenge of Roconga. Three and a half lengths separated the pair at the line, with Supreme Vinnie another four and a half lengths back in third. Aidan O'Brien said, “Sarah was delighted with him and Joseph was very happy. We were very happy coming here after the last day. “We have a nice team of jump horses developing and I'm really surplus to requirements at the minute and following the lads! “He relaxed lovely in front and is going to be a lovely horse in the future.” Aidan O’Brien bookended the card nicely as he also sent out Marchese Marconi to justify prohibitive odds in the opening 2m4f conditions hurdle.
