Patrick Mullins steered his own Full Confession (8/15f) to land Fairyhouse's concluding Point-To-Point INH Bumper today, as the pointing-winner scored on racecourse debut for the champion amateur jockey's father, trainer Willie Mullins.

Mullins senior had earlier bagged the opener with the Paul Townend-partnered Cool Park and with Full Confession, survived a stewards' enquiry before securing victory.

By Kingston Hill, Full Confession improved to lead on the outer a furlong out and while he edged right in the closing stages hampering third-placed Youlita the result was allowed stand.

The winner had previously won a point-to-point for Michael P. Ryan last April and today jockey Mullins revealed “we bought him after he won at Dromahane but there was a question mark over his wind.

“David Mullins was very keen on him though and had picked him out, so I thought at the price (€60,000) he was worth a chance. He’s now won a point-to-point and a bumper and he’s for sale to stay in the yard.

“He has a Flat pedigree so it was impressive to win a point-to-point in Dromahane and now win a slowly run bumper.”
