East Of Tara provided Des McDonogh and Ronan Whelan with doubles on the card when taking the apprentice handicap at Gowran Park.
The Barathea filly was produced a furlong out to duel it out with long-time leader Badger Or Bust
The pair flashed past the post locked together in the Derrinstown contest, with East Of Tara just shading the verdict.
It was a quick brace for Whelan, who had took the previous contest on Jarlath Fahey's Ballediene, while McDonogh had teamed up with his son Declan when Orafinitis scored earlier.
"She ran very well at Dundalk last time. Ronan is a jockey on his way," said McDonogh.
"At least she won't get thrown out of the ratings now."
The winner is owned by Mrs Patricia O'Rourke, wife of GAA analyst Colm O'Rourke.
